    Resignation of secretary

I thank Dave V for enabling me to use his post as I am unable to access this site at the moment.

For those of you who are unaware Lawrence has resigned as secretary.

As the only remaining officer on the committee it is up to me to arrange for elections to to fill his post and of chairman which is also vacant.

I will give further information as soon as possible to say how this will happen.

I believe we all want to thank Lawrence for the long term and sterling work he has done as Secretary to the Society. Serving on the committee is an honour that comes with responsibilities. I think Lawrence has conducted himself diligently and humbly as Secretary. An active regular at both the Society meetings and conventions around the country, he is a model member.

The role of secretary can be demanding and the duties often taken for granted. The position at the Wessex has a unique heritage among Wargames Clubs. The first secretary of the Society was Don Featherstone. ✒️🖨️

Agreed. He has done an awful lot of work for the club for a very long time.
