Sold as a kids toy, Micro Machine Fleet Action Consular-class Cruiser, Radiant VII.

I picked it up cheap on E-bay.  Its actually the wrong scale entirely being about half as big as it should be.  Its the ship that Qui-Gon Jinn uses in Episode I.  I repainted it from its original diplomatic rose pink colour and then bunged it on a Lambda Shuttle base.  I've made a pilot card, use the Lambda Shuttle dial and can't wait to try it out.  Its pretty crap but it gives the Scum & Villany something to defend against Imperial Customs in our scenario games.

This threat is becoming addictive! Stunning repaints! The Binayre Z95's are my favorites. Simple and classic. I love the ball joints. Where'd you get them?

Thanks Mark chum.

I've got at least a dozen more repaints to do. I'm getting better at them. my learning curve has been steep as i've not done Fantasy or Sci Fi before. I'm doing them in between customer figure commissions. Had a few X-Wing commissions now on the back of a few pics I've posted on other forums. Mostly Nashta Pups for Hounds Tooth.

Ball joints are actually 5mm-7mm Ring Magnets stuck on the flight stand with a 6mm-8mm ball bearing stuck on the plastic stem attached to the ship. I use them on my 1/144th WW1 planes too. Available from E-bay, fairly inexpensive and esily attached with Superglue. I found that the plastic stems got easily damaged. Magnets are actually stronger and safer and also aesthetically better.

Cheers Kev. I'd be interested to see them first hand. It sounds like they would also work with Wing of Glory that I bought Alaric for xmas. Any chance of you bringing a few along sometime?

Mark

No problem Mark. As soon as I get a Saturday off we'll be up the club again with lots of X-Wings all with magnets.
