Hi all,

Been a long time. Far, far too long. Just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Xmas.

Jack and I are hoping to be back, and registering, on 12th January in the New Year. Attendance may be a bit sporadic, but we'll start 2019 with the best intentions.

See y'all soon.

Kev and Jack (Fat Wally and Midget)

Hi everyone.
I hope everyone who attended the Xmas meal on Saturday had a good time.
Someone (possibly Shane) left behind 2 boxes of Lavazza tubs for a coffee-maker in the pub.I will bring them to the next meeting at the end of January,

  2019 Renaissance Cup
Posted by: Paul Marsh - 12-13-2018, 09:14 PM - Forum: Historical - Replies (8)

For the past two years we have run a mini renaissance FOGR competition toward the end of the year, the winner of which gets a small trophy to hold for twelve months, "The Renaissance Cup". Won this year by Brendan in spite of his reputation as being the worst die-roller at the club.

It has always been a bit tight getting the games organised to try and suit everyone in such a narrow timeframe so next year we are running the competiton for the whole calendar year. All games are timed 3.5 hours in duration to 800 points. You can play any game covered by the FOGR rules lists against any other participant in the competition using historically compatible armies. The only major stipulation is that to qualify for a ranking you must play at least six games over 2019.

It is open to anyone at the club, not just us old FOGR stalwarts.

If you are interested in taking part just speak to me at a meeting or send me an e-mail or message via this forum and I will let you know the full rules of the competition as well as details of the recently released official amendments to the rules themselves.

Hi All

I find myself able to come now. Anyone free for a game. I can put on a range of things if you like. Have a very fast play (Looking anyway) Napoleonic naval rules set to have a go at if anyone is interested.

  Hi There

Hi there all,

My name is John and I came to your session last Saturday and played an enjoyable game of 'Oh what a Tanker'.

I will be coming again on the 3rd November and am looking to join in or organise a game.

I haven't played much in the way of miniatures for a bit, but have lots of 15mm Ancients, a reasonable amount of 10mm/12mm WW2 and some 15mm Renaissance. I also have a few bits and pieces in 25/28mm.
